In October 1999 I started to study mechanical engineering. After two semesters I received my pre-degree as planed. In the 4th semester we had to do a practical term, but due to my apprenticeship I was able to skip this first practical term and I was able to continue my theoretical study. As mayor subject I chose construction. The contents of this field in mechanical engineering fits most to my personal interests.

I did the second practical term in Regensburg at the company Siemens VDO Automotive AG. I was in the department for the ECM Monitoring Concept. My tasks were the creation of Matlab/Simulink models for existing monitoring functions. In the last semester I wrote my diploma thesis in the field testing of safety critical software also at the company Siemens VDO Automotive AG. In March 2003 I finished my diploma study at the Fachhochschule Deggendorf successful.
